| Sept. 14 | UNCA’s Great Smokies Writing Program presents “A Beginner’s Guide to Novel Writer — The Nuts and Bolts Approach: A Fiction Workshop.”
A workshop for beginning or in-process writers who want to write a novel with popular appeal, this class will combine instruction in the basics of setting, plot, characterization and dialogue, with practical and cautionary information about seeking an agent, submitting a manuscript and building a career. Poetry Reading
Poet &composer Annelinde Metzner reads from her most recent production, “In the Mother Grove,” plus more recent poems. She creates from a world-view that is deeply feminine, giving voice to a relationship with nature and the world based on receptivity and respect for all beings. Annelinde founded the community women’s choir, Womansong, and now directs Sahara Peace Choir and the UUCSV choir in Black Mountain. Light refreshments. |
